INFICHEM aims to act responsibly and professionally in all of its commercial activities and in its relationships with suppliers and customers. We will act with integrity at all times, and aim to be fair, honest and open.
INFICHEM purchases goods and services from a wide range of suppliers, from large international organisations to specialist local suppliers. We have a policy setting out certain minimum standards, which we require our suppliers to meet. We recognise that there will be suppliers who will find it difficult to meet the exacting standards expected. In those cases, we will expect such suppliers to demonstrate continuous improvement.
INFICHEM is committed to ensuring that all of our dealings with suppliers, from the point of search and selection, through to supply and payment, are conducted in accordance with the guiding principles of responsible and ethical trading.
INFICHEM recognises that it has an impact on the environment when operating its business. It is therefore our aim to reduce the negative environmental impacts caused by our business and operate it in a responsible and sustainable manner. We are committed to our policy of achieving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
With reference to procurement, our policy is to:
○ Comply with all relevant, current environmental legislation and codes of good practice affecting our business and be prepared to meet impending legislative requirements wherever practicable.
○ Reduce the environmental impact of our operations through specification and selection of suitable products and packaging.
○ Assess suppliers’ environmental practices before their appointment.
○ Ensure that all suppliers are able to demonstrate environmental awareness through the implementation of their own policy and, as a minimum, comply with all relevant legislative requirements.
INFICHEM appreciates that any disruption in supply can have a negative impact on your business. We therefore employ a robust forecasting system to establish the needs of our customers in order to ensure that stocks of raw materials and packaging will meet such forecasts and requirements.
